This jacket is cut slim / designed to be worn over a t-shirt/something thinner. If you intend to layer this with a thicker base layer/sweater, you may want to go up one size. Otherwise, if you own any of our t-shirts, you'll want the same size in this jacket. Though there is a size chart listed, keep in mind these measurements are taken on the outside of the garment while laying flat. The calfskin suede used in this product is a thick fabric.

Outerwear is something I love, and though Southern California is stereotypically viewed as a warm-weather spot, if you ask anyone, the evenings can be chilly, especially by the beach. With the success of the Targa Florio Jacket, I went in a similar direction, but warmer and weather resistant with the Brands Hatch Trench. For the third proper outerwear piece, I thought I'd take it a step forward and create yet another stylish piece - one using even finer materials.
Welcome to the STANDARD H Mugello Suede Jacket. With the length fitted at the waist, you're able to wear it while driving, and while it isn't a padded motorcycle jacket, one could easily wear it on the bike as the top's tab closure will fit well under a helmet.
This jacket is based on one I bought on my honeymoon in Florence, Italy. That jacket, made from different materials, is still something I enjoy, but I wanted to innovate the silhouette using even better materials and change the pocket configuration. Certainly the most luxe item produced by STANDARD H to date, I couldn't be more proud of the jacket we have here.
When it came to naming this piece, the Mugello race circuit was the perfect track due to its history and proximity to my favorite city in Italy. Road races dating back the the 1920s took place around this area (starting in the village of Scarperia), however, the permanent circuit didn't open until 1974. Highly praised by Formula 1 drivers Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel, the track is known for its high speed corners, and it was actually used in 2012 F1 testing where the lap record held by Romain Grosjean remains "unofficial." You may be familiar with the track if you follow MotoGP, or the fact it served as the 9th race in the 2020 Formula 1 Season where Ferrari had its 1000th race.
