For those with drive, STANDARD H began as a travel and automotive-inspired brand of apparel and accessories. While also being influenced by architecture, surf culture, cycling culture, and a dire love of watches, the brand has grown into three collections, hosts a Small Business community-focused podcast, offers travel recommendations, and even has its own playlists on Spotify. What a journey it's been, and in certain respects, it's only the beginning. Drive safe, ride safe, look your best, and be kind to one another. Cheers!

Wesley Smith STANDARD H

A Cary, North Carolina native, STANDARD H was founded by Wesley Smith in 2015 in Encinitas, California. A 20+ year veteran of the retail and apparel industry Wesley had dreamt of owning his own apparel company dating back to high school. Wesley first cut his teeth in retail working at a bike shop at age 15. He then followed his interest in surfing to work for a surf shop at his local mall until graduation. In college, Wesley began learning more about styling, fabrics and construction through the training offered while working at J. Crew and Banana Republic. His thirst for knowledge grew, and his tastes evolved into working with higher-end contemporary brands through sales and management of several independent multi-brand retailers in the Raleigh area. In pursuit of growing further, Wesley moved to Los Angeles in 2007 where he worked for James Perse followed by Gucci, Titleist golf, and Allen Edmonds.
