The “Tattoo” Pocket Square

I thought about getting a tattoo for years. A design was finally created, only for me not to go through with it, so I made it into a meaningful pocket square.

I grew up with a magnolia tree in my front yard. My parents bought it at a nursery and it thrived in our front yard, growing to well over 30 feet. The dark, shiny leaves are so recognizable, and the white flowers seemed massive to me as a child. 

Sadly, the tree was decimated by Hurricane Fran in 1996, and our house never felt the same to me.

So, what you see here is a magnolia flower with three leaves (the tattoo's original design) where the leaves represent my wife, daughter, and me, while the largest depiction in the middle hosts 4 leaves (since I come from a family of 4). 

The design is asymmetrical so you, the user, can vary the positioning of the design as you wish as it peers out of your jacket's breast pocket.
