The STANDARD H Travel pages are our version of city guides presented by our founder, Wesley Smith. These are places he's traveled, enjoyed, and recommends, so they're all vetted and what we refer to as STANDARD H verified. These lists will evolve, so check back often and travel safe!

"My best friend's sister lived in the Virginia Highlands neighborhood, and from time to time, we would drive the 6 hours from Raleigh. It was always an absolute blast. Chris and I would often leave Monday morning when Kelly had to go to work like a responsible adult."  - Wesley

Moe's & Joe's

1033 North Highland Avenue Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30306

One of the oldest bars in Atlanta and it was a blast. Old school vibes serving $4 pitchers of PBR. When you're 22 years old, this may as well have been a gold mine.

Taco Mac

1006 North Highland Avenue Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30306

Diagonally across the intersection from Moe's & Joe's, this was the Saturday lunch spot after a late night out Friday. College football will most certainly be on and the fried foods are what's to eat.

Fontaine's Oyster House

1026 1/2 North Highland Avenue Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30306

Across the street from Taco Mac (yep - same intersection!) is Fontaine's. This place served as yet another watering hole, but this was different. Upstairs they had the arcade game Golden Tee. If you know, you know.
